Dubai City Highlights Tour
Four hours that cover the main sights in one comfortable vehicle rather than hopping between taxis. Start at the Burj Khalifa and Downtown, catch the fountain show, then work down to Dubai Marina and Jumeirah beach, across the Palm and finish in the Old Town and the Gold and Spice Souqs. The driver knows which stops are worth your time and roughly how long each one takes, so you are not standing around or doubling back. Abu Dhabi Day Trip from Dubai
Leave Dubai after breakfast and be home by dinner. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is usually the first stop and worth the early start, then the Louvre Abu Dhabi, a walk along the Corniche and a look at Emirates Palace. Round trip in a bus, minivan or 7-seater, with hotel pick-up and a driver who keeps the plan but will happily stop for the photo opportunity. Yas Island is an easy add-on if you have the time. Sharjah is quieter and older than Dubai, with museums and a waterfront Corniche that is pleasant to walk. Al Ain Oasis Day Tour
An hour-and-a-half drive to the Garden City, and a day that trades skyscrapers for greenery and mountains. Walk through the palm-lined Al Ain Oasis and the shade it provides, visit the Al Jahili Fort, and then drive up Jebel Hafeet, one of the more scenic roads in the country, for the view over the desert. A good option for families and for anyone who has had enough of the city for a day. Stops and lunch can be arranged around what you want to see.

Head east for the beaches, the Fujairah Fort and a look at the mountains that sit between the cities and the coast. Bring the swim gear and make a day of it — plenty of people do exactly that in the cooler months. We do these regularly through the season, so the driver knows the good spots, where to stop for a coffee and how to time the drive back before the evening traffic.
